The term pressure sensitive, or self-adhesive, describes
a variety of adhesives widely used in automotive
labeling due to their ease of use. Pressure sensitive
describes any adhesive which is tacky at room
temperature, and has the capability to bond dissimilar
surfaces on contact with pressure. Most commonly used
label adhesives, such as acrylics, are considered
pressure sensitive.
