Most recently, Argent’s Wirestrap™ delivered a cost-saving, off-the-shelf fastening Solution for General Motors luxury sedans, the Buick Lucerne and Cadillac Deville.

Unique ‘peel-and-stick’ functionality simplified instrument panel engineering and manufacturing, giving Wirestrap™ the competitive edge in this aesthetically sensitive, wire-harness attachment application.

Unlike conventional fasteners, Wirestrap’s™ self-adhesive design enabled engineers to bond directly to the instrument panel’s bottom surface at two critical locations without making modifications to tooling or adding components.

Tooling and part costs weren’t all Wirestrap™ saved. By enabling engineers to simplify their design, Wirestrap™ also eliminated potential for molding and assembly issues which could create ‘read-through’ on the instrument panel’s Class-A surface.

Wirestrap™ is a flexible, self-adhesive fastener that provides a number of advantages over traditional mechanical fasteners like pop-in clips and cable ties. Its self-adhesive design allows for installation on almost any vehicle surface without troublesome holes required by conventional fasteners.
